What We Do

Given its express commitment to collaborate and implement a new IFAD support programme, CASP’s basic focus will be directed at enhancing the knowledge base of farmers in rural communities in a dynamic and holistic way – access to useful information through extension services, provision of infrastructure such as access roads and water, connecting them to financial services, etc., – the combined absence of which impede not only food production and lead to famine and food insecurity but also the main causes of rural under-development, insecurity and rural-urban migration.

CASP will work with governments, communities, donors, non-governmental organisations and many other partners to strengthen and empower poor rural people'\s access to financial services, markets, technology, land and other natural resources to profoundly change their attitudes and approaches from seeing farming or agriculture as merely a means of subsistence but rather as a business that is capable of enriching them in diverse ways.
